Here is a recipe for Gyros Burgers with Spicy Yogurt Sauce:

Ingredients:

  • For the burgers:
    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1/2 cup chopped onion
    • 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
    • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
    • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the spicy yogurt sauce:
    • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the assembly:
    • 4 hamburger buns, split
    • Shredded lettuce
    • Sliced tomato
    • Pickles, sliced
    • Tzatziki sauce (optional)

Instructions:

  1. To make the burgers, combine the ground beef, onion, bell pepper, garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix well.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  3. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  4. To make the spicy yogurt sauce, combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl. Mix well.
  5. To assemble the burgers, spread the bottom buns with the spicy yogurt sauce. Top with the lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a burger patty. Serve immediately.
