Here is a recipe for Jalapeño Popper Burgers:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 4 jalapeño peppers, halved and seeded
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix well.
- Divide the meat mixture into 8 equal portions and form into patties.
- Place a jalapeño pepper half on top of each patty.
- Sprinkle the cheese over the jalapeños.
- Place the burgers on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
- Serve the burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.
Tips:
- For a spicier burger, leave the seeds in the jalapeños.
- If you don't have bread crumbs, you can use cracker crumbs or crushed tortilla chips.
- To make the burgers ahead of time, form them into patties and then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. When you're ready to cook, remove the burgers from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Serve the burgers with your favorite toppings, such as ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and onion.
